Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

  1. We supply our products to a wide variety of retailers around the world. For information on specific availability, please contact local retailers.

  2. You can find technical drawings of our latest products by visiting the individual product page.

  3. Replacement manuals can be downloaded from the online product page or from our Product Instructions page. Warranty information can be found here.

  4. Please contact our support team who will be happy to assist you with replacement parts. If possible, please ensure that you can provide the leaflet number (46____rev__) shown on your instructions, and the part numbers of the missing parts.

  5. VESA is the wall mounting standard which most TV manufacturers adhere to. This is the distance between mounting holes on the back of your screen. Common dimensions include 100mm x 100mm, 200mm x 200mm, 400mm x 200mm, and 400mm x 400mm.

  6. This information can usually be found in your TV’s specifications, on the manufacturer’s website, or in the manual.

To find the size yourself, measure the distance between the four holes on the back of your TV screen. Always measure horizontally, then vertically, from hole centre to hole centre. Your VESA ‘size’ is the distance in millimetres, between these holes.

TV Wall Mounts

  1. You can install your TV with confidence – all our products are thoroughly tested to ensure their performance and safety, and still give you the maneuverability you need. Always ensure your TV is within the maximum weight listed for your mount.

  2. There are a lot of screws in your mounting kit, to account for a wide range of TVs – you will not need to use all of them. We recommend keeping the additional screws in case you wish to change TVs in the future.

  3. Try screws of different diameters in the mounting holes on the back of your screen, until you find the one that fits correctly. When choosing the screw length, we recommend between 8-10mm of thread engagement in the TV. From here you should be able to work out any additional length required for spacers and thickness of the mount. Please avoid over-tightening screws.

  4. To reduce confusion and risk, all of our products include guidance on which wall type it is suitable to install to, and the fixings to use. If you need advice about your wall’s suitability for mounting, please enquire with a qualified professional.

You could also consider a UNIMAX Any Wall product, which will mount on any wall type.

  5. As long as the new TV’s size, weight and VESA size are compatible with your mount, you should be able to re-use your mount. If you’re unsure, contact our support team.

  6. Yes, as long as your the monitor is within the recommended size, weight and VESA specs for your chosen AVF product. However, we also offer a range of dedicated Monitor Desk and Wall Mount products.

  7. This means that once your TV is installed, you can adjust the tilt position with your fingertips and it will stay in that position without the need for any manual adjustment. With a standard Tilt, you would have to adjust your TV by loosening the tilt mechanism manually, moving the TV into the desired position, and tightening it up again – this can get tedious if you move your TV around a lot.

  8. Many of our premium TV mounts offer a levelling system, allowing you to square up your TV position after you have drilled the wall. This means that you do not need to re-drill your wall to get the perfect installation.

  9. This dual arm design feature minimises the amount a TV will droop when in its extended position.

TV Stands

  1. Each of our product pages include links to Tech Sheets that show detailed product measurements, including shelving space.

  2. Ensure that you haven’t fully tightened all of the fixings during assembly. This should then allow you to align the doors before tightening up again at the end.

  3. This is entirely subjective, and based on what you feel works best for your own viewing experience. Customers with large TVs (for example 48” and above) may wish to use the higher fixing points in order to be able to fully utilise the top shelf of the unit.

TV Compatibility

  1. We constantly monitor the TV market to ensure our products are suitable for the vast majority of TVs, certain models may not be compatible. You should always measure and check your VESA size before purchasing a mount. If you’re still unsure, contact our support team who can advise you on compatibility.
